My name is Diana
Voestermans, born in Sittard (The Netherlands) in
1963. Although I have no Art related education or
schooling, during my entire adult life to paint and
to draw was and is my passion. Next to creating
oil-paintings and pastel-paintings in 2002 I started
to paint amongst others porcelain- and glass objects.
My inspiration I find at the
Dutch Zealand coast
and
in the colourful
French Provence.
I love using
very bright and vivid colours, resulting in
startling decorations on espresso cup and
saucers as well as different types of glasses.
Also painting an aircraft propeller blade in an
a-typical way, was a challenge.
In 1990 I was
diagnosed suffering from muscular dystrophy
called
Limb Girdle Dystrophy.This resulted in me
enjoying even more the "normal" things in life...
